As a choreographer I am more than obsessed with human movement but also how the brain and body work together, sometimes in unexpected ways. My uncle was a Boxer for Fiji Moses Evans in the sixties. As a dancer I shared his agility, coordination and rhythm (he was a brilliant skipper). I was a useless boxer but a good dancer. The figures are layered as I kept adding more. Inspired by 19th  century black and white photographs of human movement. I think it is important that I leave some of primed canvas visible as if to show process.
